Day Trip Ideas from your North Austin Apartments

  |     |   Uncategorized

When was the last time you got away from your North Austin apartments for the weekend? If it’s been awhile you might want to think about embarking on a day trip to one of the awesome small towns or state parks around Austin. We love having you here as a resident, but we also want you to get out there and experience all that Central Texas has to offer.

If you’re new in town, we’d like to help you figure out which day trip destinations to check out next time you want to get out and explore. Below, we’ll be telling you about three of the most popular day trips that Austin residents take when they need to get out of town. There are plenty to choose from, but we managed to whittle the list down to three spots that won’t disappoint.

Now that we’ve gotten the intro out of the way, let’s dive right into this week’s post! When you’re done reading through the list, please feel free to send the link to this page to some of your friends and neighbors at your community of new apartments in Austin.

Enchanted Rock State Park

One of the coolest state parks in Texas is just a few miles outside of Austin. Enchanted Rock is one solid rock that rises 400 feet out of the ground. You can hike up it, soak up views and enjoy the strange feeling that comes with walking on a rock bigger than any you’ve ever seen before.

WImberley, TX

If your idea of a well-spent Saturday involves shopping, eating and listening to music by a river, head on down to WImberley, TX. It’s about 45 minutes away, but you can turn that into an 1 hr 30 min trip if you take back roads the whole way down through the hill country. Once you’re in Wimberley, check out the antique shops, art galleries and restaurants along the river. We doubt you’ll want to leave before the sun goes down.

Luckenbach, TX

Luckenbach isn’t so much a town as it is a collection of buildings. There’s the concert hall, the post office, and the bar. That’s pretty much it. Still, the town is famous because it has drawn some of Texas’ most famous musicians over the years. If you find yourself feeling like you’ve heard of Luckenbach before, it's probably because you’ve heard this song by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.
