Lake Travis

There is so much to do on Lake Travis that it is hard to narrow down a few specifics. Regardless it’s the perfect spot for a day trip with family and friends. There are a number of marinas and outfitters on the lake ready to get you set up with kayaks, jet skis or power boats for tubing. Looking to party? They have boats for that too!

About an hour from apartments in North Austin is Pace Bend Park. Situated along the Colorado River, you can spend your time here swimming, paddling, hiking or biking one of the several scenic trails. On your way back to Urban North stop by The Oasis, which is known to be one of the best spots for watching the sunset. This place can get packed on the weekends so be sure to get there early enough to grab a spot.

Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park

The Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park has nearly 300 acres to explore, so it will take multiple visits to really explore it all. Park visitors can enjoy 15 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails in addition to several fields and playground.

If you have a dog living with you at apartments in North Austin make note to take them to the off-leash dog park here after a walk on the trails.

Upper Bull Creek Greenbelt

Escape the city by driving 10 minutes to the Upper Bull Creek Greenbelt. A bit less well-known than Barton Creek, this greenway offers the same amount of beauty and wildlife. The park has a few entrances and trails that connect over to St. Edwards University. The scenic creek is a great spot to cool off on a hot day or let your dog go in for a swim. Be sure to keep your eyes out for a few waterfalls too!
